“Stop the war in Ukraine now”

Ukrainian music bandaged Jinjer harshly condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin for authorizing a military operation in the eastern part of the country on February 24, 2022. That being so, the group took to social media to criticize the military actions and inform fans about their safety.

After weeks of rising tensions in the Russian Vladimir Putin region, President of Russia Vladimir Putin said on February 22 that he was deploying Russian forces to Ukraine for what he called “peacekeeping missions”. after having signed decrees which recognize two distinct regions – those of the People’s Republic of Donetsk and the People’s Republic of Lugansk – as independent states, in violation of international conventions. As of this writing, Russia is believed to have launched missile strikes on Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.

Few years ago, Jinjerthe bass-player Eugene Abdukhanov also said: “I am aware of the political scandal you have, but I don’t think it makes a difference for us. When it comes to music, we don’t see any side effects. It’s the same as being from Russia, as being from Italy or elsewhere. It’s us and the music. It’s all that matters.”

In a recent social media post, Jinjer said they were safe while pleading for a quick end to the war. The position includes:

“Dear all, as we write this text, at this time, every member of JINJER and our families are safe and sound. We really appreciate all our fans around the world for their attention, their contact, and for all the sympathy and support for our group and, more importantly, for our country.

As you all know, early this morning of February 24, Putin launched war against sovereign and independent #ukraine! Please know that right now we really depend on you, our fans in all countries – to support Ukraine and peace in our country as you can – especially our fans in Russia, you and your opinion matter the most right now. NOTHING can justify violence and the killing of innocent people, and that is exactly what is happening in our country right now.

Stop the war in Ukraine now!

Jinjer condemned Russian violence in the region and demanded an end to the conflict.
