New album from world music band Plasticine

Plasticine is a group from the Algarve (Portugal) that opened this year’s edition of the MED Festival. After nominating a song for the 2021 IPMA Awards in the Best Instrumental Performance and People’s Choice categories, Plasticine has also received government funding to sponsor their new album “The Most Beautiful Skies” which will be released on September 30.

“The Most Beautiful Skies” is about individual and global battles, little bits of happiness that are worth fighting for every day to make the skies look like the most beautiful we’ve ever seen.

The album is also about resilience and calm after the storm, the feeling of looking up at the sky and it looks like it’s the most beautiful we’ve ever seen because we’ve accomplished something.

“The whole album is instrumental, except the first and the last track which have sung parts: the first theme is about taking ownership of our own destiny and the last is about taking ownership of all our destinies since it is about climate change. . , the most pressing challenge we face as humanity” – explained João Faísca, composer and guitarist of Plasticine.
