The arrival of the new coronavirus has caused the closure of cultural venues across the country. The music industry has responded with characteristic energy, taking live performances from physical venues to the internet with live broadcasts on sites like Bilibili and Douyin in recent weeks.

While the likes of Taxex in Shanghai and A third in Beijing and Hangzhou have reported a large number of viewers and financial advice on their live broadcasts, local venues, promoters, labels and musicians like ALL, Shanghai Community Radio, Ruby eye records and more have established consistent flows.

Here we highlight a few that you should listen to this weekend:

February 14: Merrie Records

Starting at 8:20 p.m. on Bilibili, Merrie Records will bring together Chinese football’s Chen Bo, Guangzhou band Hoo !, Shii, Zeming Xu and more for nearly two and a half hours.
